Early on in my journey in grace, I read these Watchman Nee books. I've found these simple yet clear books helpful in the renewal of my mind and was amazed that even in the early 1900s, Nee had such revelation of what the Christian life is all about — how it's so supernaturally normal.
In The Normal Christian Life, Nee writes about how the only way to live a life that's truly pleasing to God is to learn to see ourselves on the cross with Him — then only can we experience true joy, freedom and spiritual release.
Sit, Walk, Stand is a short yet classic book(let) where Nee brings us through Ephesians. How often preachers focus on the last 3 chapters of Ephesians and neglect the first 3 chapters — perhaps because they do not understand what Paul is writing about. Nee explains how we must know how to sit with Christ in heavenly places before we can walk worthy of Him and stand before the spiritual enemy of our lives. We've found this structure useful for our teaching series on the book of Ephesians.
